Went out with fiareynne and her sister tonight to see I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. It was pretty good, but I think it might've gotten a little preachy re: gay rights. Which sounds stupid, considering the entire premise is Chuck and Larry having the right as "gay guys" to coexist and make one another their beneficiaries, but really -- for a Sandler movie, there should've been a little more funny and a little less politics. And this is coming from a liberal Democrat, so take it as you will.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed it. Uproarious laughter was had. The gratuitous butt shots were most appreciated. fiareynne and I were both definitely 'shipping Chuck/Larry by the end of the movie -- Kevin James just has better chemistry with Adam Sandler than Jessica Biel does, I think. And OMG, LANCE. Why did nobody tell me The Fabulous Mr. Lanceypants Bass was in Chuck and Larry? Srsly, I would've watched it before my last weekend in Maine if I'd known. :|

It's probably a movie I'd recommend to anyone, despite the political aspects. Not bad, Sandler. Not bad.

 ½
