Last night I started watching a British mockumentary called
Rabbit Fever. It deals with "The Rabbit" -- you know, that sex toy that
Sex and the City advertized like crazy? -- and "addiction" to it. It could be the best mockumentary I've seen in months, for serious. Of course,
Spinal Tap remains on top, but the fact that this one follows a group of people involved in Rabbit Addicts Anonymous just kept me giggling.
Probably the best scene in the entire thing involves a married couple visiting the wife's parents, who've invited a friend of theirs for dinner. The wife is addicted to the Rabbit, and the husband is still very insecure about that whole situation. Anyway, they're eating dinner, and the friend of the parents starts talking about this pet rabbit the wife had as a child, and that when she was sitting outside with that rabbit between her legs she was the picture of happiness. LMAO, seriously.
From IMDB: "The Rabbit is the world's belling-selling vibrator. In the past year alone, millions have been sold all over the globe. Now experts are warning the Rabbit is becoming the new addiction; women who start using often find they simply cannot stop.
Rabbit Fever is the first film to follow the trials and tribulations of a group of Rabbit Addicts as they attempt to kick their Rabbit habit."
One of the first mockumentaries that I'd call
awesomesauce.
